I'd like to write about a lot of things, but I decided to write about a chilean artist: Violeta Parra<3
I chose Violeta Parra because I think that she is a complete chilean artist, she was born on October 4th, 1917, in a family ligated to the music (as you may know) so she is in contact with artists since the first moment.
She is indispensable to the resurgence of arts in Chile, the chilean identity in the music specifically. I'm talking about "La Nueva canci贸n chilena", an entire music gender was born thanks to chilean artists like her.
Another important thing about her is that she had an exposition at Louvre museum in 1964 called "Tapices de Violeta Parra". This is really important because it was the first solo exhibition of a Latin American artist at the museum! A lot of people admired her work, the work of a chilean artist, exposed in Paris. Chilean society was seen through her eyes in that moment.
A poet, musician, painter, sculptor, that captured the chilean culture through her beloved art pieces.
She lived in La Reina, the district where I actually live, and I love when there are different kinds of celebrations where you can see some of her works.
PS: tomorrow's the chilean music day♥

My favorite song of Violeta Parra is ''Que dir谩 el Santo Padre'', I really love her <3
